Okay, I am gona try urethane for my helmets for detail. Do I need to thin this fo my airbrush? If so, what ratio is best to work with. I will be buying 4 and 8oz at first. I need to buy SLOWLY.

I've reduced both PPG and HOK according to their tech sheets and used the same mixture in both HVLP spray guns and Iwata airbrushes. You could probably add a bit more thinner if you're running into problems spraying from your airbrush, but I doubt you will.

if you're going for really fine detail, then you'll most likely need to over-thin

if you've got an airbrush with a very fine tip then you may even need to strain the paint, which won't hurt anyways
