Practicing

When I started striping one of the biggest hassles I had was finding something easy and convenient to practice on.Like a lot of people I tried glass, wipe off boards, pretty much everything.I ended up findng finger painting pads.I like the one's made by Crayola. They are coated with something that make the paper hold up to urethane and oneshot.Their cheap and easy to find .

good tip Wayne, thanks. I know what that was like, sneaking the frying pan out of the kitchen. But since then I've come up with my own practice panel that I'm producing. Called Stripe and wipe. Probably much the same as what you're talking about.

I got one of the wipe off boards from you X-mas before last. There a great idea and a lot more enviro. friendly then what I do cause I'm talking stripe and throw away.Sometimes I just want to pull lines and since I already have brushes to worry about cleaning, the finger painting pads make it easy to do just that.........................
