Hi All

I have an interesting job coming up, I have been asked to airbrush a number of skateboards to match a guys bike paint job that I did a while ago. Now my question is will auto primer and paint stand up on a smooth wood surface!!

I'm thinking I may have to add some sort of flex promoter!!

Hmm,don't really know.I've cleared sanded wood but skatebaords are usually sealed with some type of shellac, don't know how it would react.

When I do blank guitar bodys I just use a high build 2K pimer sufacer. Normally 3 coats, then a guide coat to sand it. Wood really soaks up and you don't want to see the grain in your finished work.

when i do guitar bodies, i generally use a sander sealer over bare wood. then you don't have to worry about the wood absorbing anything, and the grain poking up. you can spray just about anything over it at that point. it's worked well for me so far, but i've only done a few. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif
