OEM Yamaha dirt bike paint protective film

Hello and hi from the UK

love the forum and the pics! I've just stumbled across and wish I had found this site sooner.

ive got a question I've asked loads of people and never got a proper decent answer....so here goes....

on my yamaha xt125r the oem panels have a sort of protective film over them from factory. Not sure what brand it is but it's an absolute sh*te to get off!

some bits come off fine with heat on the inside of the panel and a razor blade, but some bits just don't move at all (I think where the film glued to plastic at the factory)

the best tip iv had so far is to use 3000psi jet wash, but I think it's gonna do more damage to the panels that already are cracked....

I know I could sand down till down to plastic, but I really hope there's a quicker/easier way to do the whole bike lol.

id appreciate any input you guys have :)

Heat usually works with any kind of adhesive film. Just be careful you don't overheat it, and wrinkle the paint or melt plastic!
