I realize this is an auto/motorcycle forum. I hope it's okay to post a question about an issue with my recently painted, vintage 60's, boat. It's not a boat-specific question.
My boat was recently painted. Unfortunately, the people who painted it, painted the black rubber bumper. The rubber bumper needs to be replaced as it is checked.
The question is, how can the boat shop remove the rubber bumper without having the surrounding paint peel.
I was thinking of using something like an X Acto knife to score a line below and above the rubber.
Any other ideas?
