how much clear will i need?

im going to the paint store tomarrow to buy my clear..i have a 1965 cadillac coupe deville. it has no vinyl top so ill need enough clear for the whole car...i thought a gallon should do it but a freind of mine thinks other wise...ill be using a dupont croma clear clear coat..thanks for any help.

I don't know Dupont's mixing ratio, but I would think a gallon would be enough. Go ahead and get an extra quart/catalyst. If you don't use it, I would think they would take it back.

It would also depend if it is a high solids clear (2 coater) or not.

Any Dupont painters out there...what you think?
