damaged Harley paint

I have a street glide in Pearl Black ,it WAS beautiful. So it was parked in my garage along with 2 gallons Muriatic acid which I had completely forgot about and it was covered in dust . So after a few years I pulled it out and washed it off . To my surprise the paint on all the plastic parts appears to be completely gone . The fairing 2 side covers and 2 saddle bags and lids look to have this sticky primer on them at best. The two fenders and the tank look basically look like a semi gloss black no pearl left . So in regards to the repaint, I was thinking dual action sander with 400 on all plastic parts and 800 on the metal .Step 2. 2 or 3 coats Sealer with catalyst. then the primer then another couple of sealer ,primer ,base, intercoat flames and clearcoat. Is this extra sealer before the primer a good idea or necessary because of the acid fumes damage ? The only paint not damaged was the inner fairing which was painted at the dealer ship.
