Auto Air Colors/Clearcoating

I just found a guy to do my airbrush work for my shop. Now I want to make sure that the way I plan on going about this is gonna work.

Prep the parts like normal
Base it
Intercoat clear (HOK SG100)
Let him attack it with his Auto Air Colors
Intercoat clear (HOK SG100)
Clear coat with HOK acrylic lacquer clears

Question is - is the second intercoat clear necessary? :think1:

The second intercoat isn't required, just go straight onto your airbrush work with your clearcoat, If your airbrush artist is working with Auto air colours even the first intercoat isnt neccessary as he will be able to sort out any problems with overspray with a damp cloth. depends how many layers he will work in with his airbrush, more than one or two layers he will want to seal up with a transparent base over the top as this helps the clearcoat fill up any highpoints. With autoair you dont get much of an edge anyway but like I say depends really on how intricate your design is. Using urathane paints you need to intercoat with SG100 purely for overspray and bleedthroughs. Using autoair over urathane base then applying a urathane clear just use a transparent base only.
