Woodgrain

I am doing a 33 hot rod and the owner wanted a little something to spice it up a little. We decided on woodgrain on the dash and inner doors. The wood is surrounded in airbrushed trim. It came out pretty freakin sweet!

First I layed down a pale yellow base. Then mix some SG-100 (intercoat clear) and a small amount of root beer kandy concentrate. Basically you starts piling the material on in spots to make the knots, then the lines are done by holding the airbrush close and putting alot of material on. The air pushes the the light kandy mixture out of the middle and creates the lines. With a little practice I think just about anyone can do it.
