When it takes longer than 24 hours to complete

Pretty much every paint manufacturer recommends top-coating base within 24 hours. Sometimes an artist can not achieve this constraint.
Lets say you have some sick grafics to lay out. Without the proper know how, computer time, and a plotter you will have to hand lay these grafics by hand layer after layer using tape and x-acto knife. I don't know how fast everyone else may be, but this proccess takes time. I like to drink some beers when I am involved in such a long proccess, so it takes even longer. Beer aside... here is the trick....
Once all the art and taping is done and unmasked (we're ready for clear) apply a coat of inter-coat clear mixed 1:1 with reducer. Apply a nice medium wet coat. What this does is soften the bases under it. It sticks to the art, and it being a new coat of base, the clear sticks to it.
There is more to this, but i am drinking beer, so just ask if you have more questions, and I will extrapolate.
