Always use a 1/2 sheet of sandpaper when wetsanding.
If you start with a full sheet, cut this in half (or carefully tear it in half). Then tri-fold the 1/2 sheet. This will fit neatly in the palm of your hand.
Be sure and lay your hand flat as possible with wetsanding. If you are doing a very small spot, then you can use your finger tips to sand.
