topcoat whole door??

i am working on a 64 nova and the door had a big crease in it and some dents my question is do i have to topcoat the hole door or is it ok just to top coat the damage and i will epoxy prime it to seal it and then hibuid prime it when im ready to paint ? what should i do:think1:

You will need to repair the spots, then prime them. Then sand the complete door. Then you will need to blend into the 1/4 panel and the front fender. This is assuming that the crease on the door is fairly big.

To get a panel as straight as possible I like to coat the whole thing in body filler and block in down from there. I first do my metal work and get that as close as possible. I tried doing it in sections on a 71 GTX I did and after we primed it and blocked out the primer you could see where my body work was. The best way is to skim the whole door to get it perfect.
