Tank sealer...better then Kreem

I would use the POR-15 tank sealer kit. I've heard too many guys success stories with it (unlike kreem and the others).

lazysol, I would spend the little extra time and $$ right now to ensure success than to risk it. Better safe than sorry. Seal the tank before you paint, and you'll sleep better. Even new stretched tanks you buy from Custom Chrome or Drag Specialties or the other companies recommend sealing the tanks before paint work, and they pressure test most of the tanks before they sell them.

I personally like POR-15. I used to use Red Kote which wasn't too bad either though.
