options to using tape?

I forget where exactly i saw this, but in some magazine or something when they showed you how-to-flame, they used a type of paper bag material with adhesive on one side, stuck it down onto the car and then traced and cut out the flame part. I was just wondering what the diffeence is, and if you found one to be easyt han the other, if you had experience w/ the stuff.

Possibly try this.
"Metalflake" makes a "spray mask" which covers the area to do your flames, then you can cut out the areas in which you want to spray. It works great.
