in this process, can I use metalics, flakes or candy coats of paint that are traditionally used in the base/clearcoat process? I am wanting to go with some radical colors and want them to be metallic for that perfect look!

HOUSE OF KOLOR MAKES SOME REALLY AWESOME COLORS IN THEIR SHMRIN LINE. THEY HAVE A CANDY BASE THAT IS SUPPOSED TO REPLICATE LAQUER CANDY WHICH MEANS THAT IT IS SEMI TRANSPARENT. THEY ALSO HAVE A DESIGNER PEARL LINE THAT HAS SOME AWESOME COLORS. AND EVEN NEONS FOR A BC/CC SYSTEM. THE BEST THING TO DO IS FIND A LOCAL HOUSE OF KOLOR DEALER AND TAKE A LOOK AT THEIR COLOR CHARTS. HERE IS A WEBSIGHT THAT HAS SOME COLOR CHARTS BUT BELIEVE ME THEY DON'T DO ANY JUSTICE TO THE ACTUAL APPEARENCE OF THE COLORS.

Pick up a job at a body shop, or try to take a paint certification class offered through paint supply stores. Hands on experience with someone who knows is the best way, in my humble opinion.
