hvlp to conventional ?

Hey guys,is it possible to convert a Finishline HVLP to conventional by just changing air caps,or is there more to this,or not possible? thanks great site:think1:

Im not for sure if you can just switch air caps, I dont think you can, what are your reasons for wanting to go conventional??

My reason is I find the hvlp does not atomise,using a 1.3 tip. Would like to try gun in conventional too see if more to my liking. Thanks

I don't think it will work I think you will need to just try a different gun, I think the differince is in the guts of the gun not just the air cap. i could be wrong. I would try a small tip sizes, what are you spraying?? You might want to try a 1.2 tip, I use to use a 1.4 in my sata and then tried a 1.3 and liked it better, but depending on what you are spraying 1.2 might help

Mainly spraying bc/cc,may try a 1.2,would like to know for sure before i buy another gun.....Thanks for the reply
