HVLP Gun Problem

Started shooting my base BC-3 reduced 2-1 and my gun is set @30psi, into gun my compressor is a 4 horse and as soon as i start shooting it sprays good and then you can hear pressure slow and get less coming out of the gun and it spits i have the pressure on my tank up and i have a regulater, any help would help im kinda stuck .Thanks Rick

you need a bigger compressor. it doesn't sound like it can keep up w/ your gun's needs. the compressor might be big enough if your shooting a M/C tank but nothin too much bigger.

you need a bigger compressor is my thoughts.

HVLP guns rely more on cfm's not psi. Also do you have a regulator at the gun or the compressor? If at the compressor it will be less pressure at the end of the hose, say you have 30 psi @ compressor and at the end of a 15 ft hose it might be 15 psi. That will make a difference also.:luck:

thanks guys i have a reg at both, i switched to my old gun,my compresser only puts out 6cfm @40 psi so i think your right my compresser is not good enough ,thanks Rick
