HOK striping paint over clear coat

I am getting ready to do a flame job using HOK striping paint over stock painted tank with an airbrush. Customer wants a quick paint job without removing the tank to have clear coated. Anyone have any experience in this area with some tips.

Thanks

Just do the striping without clearing.

If they want it cleared, charge them to remove the tank, pinstripe, then clearcoat.

Like alienboy said...they'd never be happy. You'll probably have an oversrpay mess

if you use HoK Striping w/o clearcoating over it, make sure you add their striping catalyst to it.

I would stay far away from the job though. some people out there are idiots and want the most idiotic things. Say you decide to do the job and the paint doesn't get cleared it will one look odd and two the paint will come up if being airbrushed on in a short period of time and that guy will be coming to you, for a refund and will become a pain in the ass most likely.

my two cents....
