Ghost flames

I wish I could take credit for these flames, but I didn't actually do them. I am doing sort of an internship with an awesome custom painter. Jim has taught me a lot in the past 6 months, but this project was by far the most fun and informative.

Jim did all the layout, I helped with the back-taping, building stands for paint, etc. Jim's ghosting is unbelievable, these flames are a bright forest green in the light, but disappear completely in low light. He also ghosted in some trucker girl silhouettes. Jim is a master at pearls and candies, and I feel honored to be taught by him. He used this bike to show me how to make the flames "flow" with the panel and the other panels around it.

I have been doing test panels and old parts trying to learn. I already can see my progress, and I am close to taking on my first project. I hope to on day be turning out work like this..............enjoy!
