Devilbiss JGA with tip number 80 on front

I have an old Devilbiss JGA, and was planning on using it to spray primer on a car I'm working on. The recommendations for the primer is to use a 1.8 tip.

I have no idea what my tip is. It has the number 80 on the front (or, maybe 08?). Can I get a 1.8 tip? Where should I get that. Google search hasn't turned up anything for me yet.

JFYI...I plan to purchase a new gun for the color. Thinking about the Teckna Copper.

If you take off that cap, there should be a very small number on the side of the orifice.

You should be find spraying that gun if the setup is 1.4+.
Adjust your fluid nozzle to spray to spray to your liking.

I was just looking to use 1.8 because the HOK tech guy said to use that with the primer I'm using.

I pulled it and looked at it and don't find a number on any of the flats (as I've noted in pictures of other tips). This one is quite old. So who knows.

It does have teh following on the outer rim: AV15EX.

I've seen it on the side, but like you said, it might be too old and they didn't do that.
BUT, that number you found could mean it's a 1.5 setup
