cleaning buffing pads?

I am buffing out my new paint using the wizard products. Question : how often should I clean the yellow pad (using finish cut) and how do I clean the pad? Can you buff an eniter car without cleaning it? I have the brush they sell and used that ater half the car, but then need to let it set for a day before starting on the rest of the car.. any ideas?? THANK!

i take mine over to the garden hose and spray it out. when clean, i shake it out then put it on my buffer and run it on high speed to get the rest of the water out again. then you're good to go.

Nemo, We clean our pads every night. It takes us about 60 hours to buff a car start to finish. Be sure to resoak the foam pads before starting to buff each time.

WOW!! 60 hours. I'm wondering now if the 2 hours I spent buffing my motorcycle fender was enough.

hi prrc, you say 60 hrs to buff a car from start to finish? how many coats of laquare are you using and the car must be dull, 60 hrs, that must cost a fortune in labour?
