Bobber/Old School painting

It would probably work... but the primer is not good to have as a 'base'. I don't know if you remember about 10-15 years ago both Dodge and Ford had paint peel problems. This is because the paint was very thin from the factory, so the sun and other weather elements were going through the paint, and beating up the sealer, thus making it powdery which in turn make the paint/clear peel.

If you are looking for a flat finish, I would suggest just adding a coat of black basecoat, then adding some clear with some gloss reducing agent. Possibly you can find this at a auto paint supply store.
This way, you get the bc/cc type paint with your Old School look.

'Spruce' is probably one of the better type spray cans.
If you want to go real inexpensive, just buy Spruce in 'semi' or flat black.
You can buy this at a local paint supply store

Good Luck!
