Base Coat

Does anybody know, can i sand the base coat with 2000 grit paper to remove inperfections before i spray the clear? I'm useing Martin Senour/ Basecoat/Clearcoat system. Thanks Tom

what system are you using??? you can usally sand base coats with the exceptions of metalics which will have to be recoated after sanding .pearls and candys can not be sanded directly

That stuff's still around?If it's like it was 10 or so years ago,Martin Senour and Rogers are nothing more than Sherwin Williams with a different label and numbering system.You can or could mix from all 3 names to save money.I have no idea if things are the same now though.Sheesh,what a flashback.
