Any tips on how to do LIGHTNING?

Does anybody have any tips on how to do lightning on a black base coat?
Would like to have white center fading to light blue at edges.

Using the airbrush, lightly spray where you want the lightning. As a guide. Then come back and paint your lightning. Come back with some blue candy, possibly with some blue pearl in it, and fog over the white fade and lightning. Now come back with the white and redo your lightning, nice and crisp. I've done this and it looks pretty cool. You get a nice glow with the pearl. I even did this on a leather jacket.
