1st attempt at real-flames

Here is my 1st shot at real-flames. I used my welding hood for practice. The yellow flaked and splattered on me, but I do like the over all result. Any help or comments are welcome. The pics are in my gallery they are too large to attach.

Not too bad for your first attempt.

I'd go a little lighter on the yellow.
Put a layer on with red, then a smaller more transparent orange, then a very transparent and subtle yellow. This way you see all three layers.

Again, not bad though. It's only a helmet anyway!
With clear, I'm sure it would look even better.

I had the same thoughts about the yellow. I did apply a transparent orange and then the candy gold. It looked much better after clear, but still too much yellow...lol. I'll get there, I only had 4 of the 7 colors I needed..lol
