Thread: Primer/Sealer question

    Default Primer/Sealer question

Ok, going to try this here. Ive decided to repaint this tricoat pearl saddlebag instead of gambling with a blend. I have about 8 ounces of left over paint from the original paint job. I was curious if I should reseal it and then shoot base, pearl, clear...or would it be ok to just spot in the base and pearl on the affected area then reclear the whole thing. Im a little concerned with matching the paint by spotting it in. I know that pearls can be tricky. I just dont want to waste the paint.

Really tempted to just spray a coat of sealer over it and call it a day.

I assume that is the yellow with the pearl coat over it.

If so, I would just blend that, especially if you painted it yourself.
And yes, go ahead and spray a tad bit of sealer. It will take a lot of yellow to cover that dark area.
if you have a white sealer, use that.
Then blend the yellow. Then blend the pearl. Then reclear the bag

Thanks TAZ. I was a bit concerned with loading up the pearl or creating a bullseye. I do have some of the original grey sealer left also.

    Thanks again.
