    2010 Thruxton Special Edition
Triumph is introducing a special edition version of the Thruxton café racer.

The 2010 Triumph Thruxton SE features “Crystal White” bodywork with a red stripe and matching fly screen. The red striping also matches the powder-coated red frame which stands out against a blacked-out engine case.

Like the regular 2010 Thruxton, the special edition model is powered by a fuel-injected 865cc parallel Twin which Triumph claims produces 68bhp at 7,400 rpm and a peak torque of 51 ft-lbs. at 5,800 rpm.

The 2010 Triumph Thruxton SE is expected to arrive in North America in the spring.

The Thruxton SE is due in North American dealerships in the spring of 2010. Triumph has not announced its price except to say it will come at a small premium over the standard Thruxton.

I really like the way that Triumph is designing a bike line with vintage styling cues combined with new technology. While on a ride the other day I saw a bike that looked very similar to this that was very sharp.

I like the way they have combined a little old school and modern technology into it. You now have the best of both worlds.

Like the SE better myself but until Triumph gets serious and puts a six speed and enough HP to compete with the air cooled Ducs I can't see myself buying a bike I would have to double in price to make it go how I want. Now the T-Bird Sport that was a nice bike.....

Bloor has done a great job at bringing Triumph back into the mainstream. I'm a Brit Bike guy, having owned a Norton Commando for the last 35 years and I'm impressed with how they've managed to offer models appealing to a wide range of buyers. The Truxton isn't a rice rocket but believe me 68 hp is enough to have a lot of fun with.
